In the first hour, Tom welcomes Olympic Bronze Medalist and winner of the 1983 New York Marathon, Rod Dixon to the studio to discuss his KidsMarathon Foundation. Joining Tom and Rod are Mike Dalton, Bill Burgess, the Executive Director of KidsMarathon and James O’Rourke, the Executive Director of the Waterbury YMCA. Together, they talk about the upcoming KidsMarathon events in Connecticut, including a run scheduled for June 4th in Waterbury.

In the Second hour, Tom speaks with certified financial planner and host of WATR‘s Morning Business Brief, Joe Stango about Dora’s Hope, the organization he founded as a non-profit advocacy group for Choice Centered Medicaid
Tom then welcomes Master Brewer Richard Visco of Shebeen Brewing Company in Wolcott. Shebeen Brewing Company expects a grand opening sometime in May of 2013 with a major relaunch in the Fall. Rich brought some samples with him to the show, including Shebeen’s West Coast Pale Ale, Bacon Kona Stout, Cannoli Beer and a Concord Grape Saison, which greatly were enjoyed by everyone, including Barbara Hill, whom, as it turns out, had never had a beer before today!
